Beth Anne Haigler, MSNH
Herbalist
Beth Anne Haigler has been a student of herbal plants and their medicinal use since early childhood. Her earliest memories are of gathering "weeds" for salads, and learning folk remedies that were handed down from the Native American women in her father's family, and the Scottish medicinals from her mother's family. Growing up with a strong knowledge of wild edibles and medicinals only made her want to learn more. In January 1997, Beth Anne enrolled as a student of the famed Jeanne Rose of California. Ms. Rose has written many books on Aromatherapy and Herbalism, and is currently considered one of the nation's leading authorities in these fields.
Upon completion of her work with Ms. Rose, Beth Anne enrolled in Clayton College of Natural Health and has earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Natural Health with highest honors. She is currently working on her PhD in Natural Health, an internship and researching her dissertation.
In the Fall of 1995, Beth Anne's company, Great Hill Herbs, was founded. Because her husband was disappointed with commercial lip balms, Beth Anne went into her kitchen and a few hours later returned with the first product. From that eventful moment in time, Great Hill Herbs now supplies several shops with lip balm of many scents as well as a line of body care products, herbal teas and extracts, organic herbs and pure essential oils.
Great Hill Herbs makes all of their products in small batches, by hand, and with only natural, organic ingredients. Every effort is made to insure quality and freshness. There are no synthetic scents used, only pure essential oils. The essential oils contained in each product are chosen based on their Aromatherapeutic value.
